Official press releases have announced that both the DreamWorks Animation films Madagascar and Shrek will have their own attractions inside Universal Studios Singapore when the park opens early next year.

Madagascar: A Crate Adventure will combine an indoor boat ride with state-of-the-art digital projection and sound systems, animated figures and other special effects to bring the film to life.

The Shrek film franchise will also be featured within the park, with the addition of a 40-metre-tall castle that will be home to three Shrek-related attractions.

Shrek 4-D, Donkey Live and Magic Potion Spin will all be housed within the Far Far Away Castle. Enchanted Airways and King Julien's Beach Party Go-Round will be located elsewhere within the DreamWorks Animation portion of the park.

In addition, the DreamWorks Animation area will boast more than 10 themed restaurants and stores.

"Resorts World Sentosa has a sales network spanning 22 Asian cities. In each of these cities, Shrek and Madagascar are well-known animation films with beloved characters. We are ecstatic to have made these characters residents in Resorts World Sentosa's Universal Studios Singapore", said Mr. Tan Hee Teck, CEO of Resorts World Sentosa.

Universal Studios Singapore is due to open in the first quarter of 2010.
