Dreamworld's Giant Drop to star in TV documentary

The Giant Drop at Dreamworld will star in The Travel Channel's new series featuring the world's scariest rides, titled Extreme Terror Rides 2.

The ride, which holds the title for the "tallest, vertical free-fall ride in the world", was one of eight rides chosen for the 30-minute episode. However, the Giant Drop is the only ride that was chosen from outside the U.S.A.

"We've been saying for years that Dreamworld has some of the tallest, fastest rides in the world and it's great to see that endorsed by the international media", CEO Noel Dempsey said.

This announcement follows the decision made last week by Canada's Global News to add the Tower of Terror to the list of the Top 6 World's Scariest Rides.

Dreamworld will launch a new advertisement campaign next week promoting the park's Big 6 Thrill Rides, called Man Up.
